About me

Throughout my career preparing graduate students for their careers or coaching educators in their craft, I have always maintained that education and training is most actionable when relevant, directly related to the needs of the audience, and focused on the immediate needs of the organization. The more training content I created, the more curious I became about how to hone my own craft in the area of instructional design.

My curiosity guided me towards the field of instructional design when I came across a certification program in 2019 and immediately enrolled. I found myself thoroughly engaged in the theory supporting strong instructional design practices and the many modalities through which instruction can be made engaging, interactive, and learner-focused. Learning new tools and technologies opened my eyes to the multitude of opportunities available to scale learning across organizations. More recently, I enrolled in an instructional design academy to continue to develop the design and technical skills required to succeed in the field of instructional design.

As an instructional designer, I feel it's crucial to be able to understand a project’s scope from both a high-level view to a detailed level. This involves conducting a thorough needs analysis to develop an understanding of the overall project objectives and context, as well as an explicit understanding of the specific requirements and needs of the audience.

I am skilled in all stages of the design and development cycle through the creation of design documents and storyboards to the development of eLearning in Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise. Additionally, I believe in using microlearning to reinforce and support the application of learning.

I look forward to the opportunity to work together and explore how we can collaborate to achieve mutual success. I am confident in my ability to add value to your projects and am dedicated to delivering high-quality results that align with your goals and vision.
